Accountant
POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
Accountants perform a wide variety of accounting tasks and administrative support to assist the Project Managers. The role will require helping the office staff with specific assignments, as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Miscellaneous invoices processing
- Scan, code, and enter miscellaneous. invoices for payment
- Process credit cards and expense reports
- Enter workflow and submit for approval to designated project accountant, project team, and departments
- Prepare monthly owner billing backup, as needed
- Set up and maintain electronic job files, if required
- Assist with project closeout procedures
- Collect and submit insurance certificates to Ebix for review
- Address contract compliance discrepancies by generating and analyzing non-compliance reports
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Two (2) years of accounting experience in construction are required
- A strong work ethic with an emphasis on attention to details
- Willingness to be a team player with a client service attitude
- Must be detail-oriented, able to multitask and problem solve and follow through to resolution
- Must have the ability to work in a high-volume, heavy deadline-driven environment
- Must demonstrate experience performing functions efficiently and accurately with little direct supervision
- Should have the ability to develop and maintain a positive effective working relationship with subcontractors, vendors, co-workers, and managers
- Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience in construction.
- Proven ability in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, drawings, and construction specifications.
- Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and MS Office.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
